Richard A. Lawrence is pleased to announce the opening of his office for the practice of law. Practiced law in California for over 20 years, with an emphasis in real estate transactions, development entitlements, public-private ventures, corporate and business formation and transactions. Most recently, served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Resort Theaters of America, Inc., which developed and operated motion picture theater complexes in upscale areas of the United States. Also served as General Counsel and a member of the Board of Directors of RTA. Served as chair of the Los Angeles District Council of the Urban Land Institute from 1998-2001 and as President of the Westside Urban Forum in 1991 and 1992. From 1986 to 1999, was a founding partner of Lawrence & Harding, a Santa Monica-based law firm that specialized in real estate transactions, land use and entitlements and corporate law. Served as Chair of the Los Angeles County Housing Authority and as a Commissioner on the Los Angeles County Housing Commission and Los Angeles County Civil Service Commission. Previously served as a Senior Deputy with the Los Angleles County Board of Supervisors and a Council Aide with the Los Angeles City Council.
